“Daebat” means bamboo field. Damyang Daebat is a brand drawn from the food culture of Damyang, and the restaurant itself stands in Myeongdong, Seoul.

A table that began with Damyang's food culture

Damyang has long been fertile farming country, and it borders Sunchang, famous for its deep-flavoured fermented sauces. Our table grew out of that local character and Korea's own tradition of the generous spread.

A Korean table never carries just one dish. Grilled meat sits at the centre while side dishes, soup and rice complete the meal together. Damyang Daebat brings that hansang tradition to charcoal grilling.

The questions we are asked most often before a visit.

It's my first visit. What should I order?

For a Hanwoo-focused meal, the Deluxe Set (₩225,000) or the Hanwoo 1++ Royal Premium Set (₩330,000). For something lighter, the DAEBAT Set for 2 (₩80,000) or Set for 3 (₩120,000). Charcoal-grilled meats, cold noodles and pot rice can all be ordered on their own too.

What's included in a set?

Each set differs, but every one arrives with the Damyang hansang spread of side dishes, soup and rice. The DAEBAT Set for 2, for example, is 550g of Damyang charcoal galbi, 80g of yukhoe, four perilla-leaf rice wraps and a soft drink. Full compositions are on the Menu page.

What are your opening hours?

For the time being we open daily from 11:00 to 23:00. Standard hours are 11:00 to 01:00 the following day, with last orders at 00:30. We open every day of the week.

Is there an English menu?

Yes. Every dish is listed in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese, and this page switches between KO / EN / JP / CN at the top. Visitors searching for 焼肉 or 烤肉 will find the same menu in their own language.

Is there parking?

We do not run a car park of our own. Traffic around Myeongdong is heavy, so we recommend Euljiro 1-ga Station on Line 2 (3 min walk) or Myeongdong Station on Line 4 (9 min walk).
